2025/2026 Season Information Letter

Happy Labor Day everyone. Soon it will be time for the mwfSkins League to start. I wanted to reach out with some updates regarding the upcoming mwfSkins League season.

Website Changes:

I’ve been working on a few changes to the website. The website is now a members driven site. This means everyone will need to create a new account to access the form to sign up for golf. This is necessary to better track individuals access to the site and it makes my job of record keeping and fixing issues easier.

Creating Account:

To create your account navigate to www.mwfskins.com/members/registration/ or there is a Register link on the main page of the website.

Fill out the form and click on “Register” at the bottom of the page. Please remember your username and password. Each individual that wishes to play with the mwfSkins League will be required to register. You will not be able to sign someone else up to play golf this year. The Sign Up form is automatically populated with the user who is logged in. It’s much easier to complete the Golf Signup form. You simply click if you want to participate in Skins and select the date to play then click Submit. Please sign up as early as you can prior to the season starting. If you have any issues with creating an account please contact me and I’ll be glad to help you get this done.

Members Area:

The reason for everyone becoming a member and creating log in credentials is so you can manage your own sign ups. Last year if you signed up but then for some reason couldn’t play you had to message me and I had to remove you. This year once you’ve logged in to the site you will be redirected to the Members Area. On that page you will see all the days you have signed up to play. Out to the right of each day displayed is a “delete” option. If you need to cancel, you simple click “delete”. When you refresh the page, that day will no longer be in your list. You and I will each receive an email stating you have removed yourself for that day. Under your list of sign ups will be a summary of your winnings and the number of rounds played to date. Below that will be details of your results for each day played. Across the top of the Members Area are links to Golf Signup, mwfSkins Leaderboard and Logout.

Paradise Golf Course Updates:

I have been working with the course regarding our tee times for the upcoming season. We will continue to play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings but our tee times will be 9:00am this year. The Heritage Group that played in front of us last season on Wednesday morning have been moved to 10:30am so slow play shouldn’t be an issue. I know several of you quit playing on Wednesdays because of this so I expect you to play this season. I have tee times for our group beginning October 20, 2025 for those of you who will be down here early. The mwfSkins League will officially begin on November 3, 2025 and run until April 3, 2026. I’ll begin posting results and tracking Quotas on November 3rd. We will have 3 special events again this year. One each in January, February and March. Our end of season banquet is tentatively scheduled for March 20, 2026. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. We had a great time last season at this event. The golf course superintendent is spending the summer making improvements to the course. They have removed and replanted grass on #4 fairway, #7 green, #9 tee boxes and the back tee boxes on #10. The newly installed grass is supposed to be better suited for our growing conditions so hopefully this will grow in areas where it’s been an issue in the past.

Fees:

We will once again have a $20 league fee for all members who intend to play more than 3 rounds during the season. For visitors I have decided to charge them $5 per time they play. If they intend to play more than 3 rounds with us then they are subject to the same $20 league fee. The Quota game fee will be $6 this season. The extra $1 will be put into a hole-in-one pot for anyone lucky enough to make an ace. If someone makes an ace they will get the total amount of the Hole-in-One pot, and the pot will start accumulating again. The optional Skins pot fee will remain $5.
